Henry County Local---August 18, 1950

Mrs. Estelle Watkins Doyle, 55, owner and manager of the Doyle Transfer Company, Carrollton, died Saturday night in the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. She had been convalescing from a recent illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Harmon there.

For the past twenty-one years Mrs. Doyle had been owner and active manager of the transfer company. She was chairman of the women's division of the Carroll County Democratic organization. She was a member of the Methodist Church where she had taught a Sunday School class for 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Thomas Doyle; another daughter: Mrs. Dorothy D. Wood, Carrollton; three sons: Eugene H. Doyle, Louisville, Thomas D. Doyle and Robert M. Doyle, both of Carrollton; two sisters: Mrs. James N. Claxon, Louisville and Mrs. Amos Tingle, Okolona; three brothers: Eugene H. Watkins and Hays T. Watkins, both of New Castle and Wilson P. Watkins, Fern Creek.

Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Carrollton Methodist Church. Burial was in the Carrollton Cemetery.
