Guy and Elizabeth (Alexander) Johnson , was born February 27, 1912 in Purdin, MO.
On September 3, 1932, he married Rose M. Betson. Mr. Johnson served as president of the Bank of Purdin for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the Jackson Lodge 82 AF & AM, York Rite 32nd Degree, the Molia Temple, and the Purdin United Methodist Church.
He graduated from the Purdin High School and attended Central Methodist College, Fayette, MO, and Iowa State University.
Survivors include his wife, Rose, of the home; a son, Dean Johnson and wife, Marlene, Purdin, MO; a daughter, Dorothy Head and husband, Gilbert, Kearney, MO; six grandchildren; Lee Johnson and Tonya Johnson , both of Purdin, MO, Geoffrey Head,Atlanta, GA, Sara Miller and husband, Dan, Columbia, MO, David Faulkner and wife, Sheila, Colorado Springs, CO, and Tom Faulkner and wife, Jody, Plano, TX; three greatgrandchildren, Laura Rose Miller and Anna Leigh Miller, both of Columbia, MO, and Darian Faulkner, Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Helen Lou Matkins and husband, William D., Purdin, MO; and one son-in-law, John Faulkner, Boulder, CO. His parents; and one daughter, Janet Faulkner; nieces, nephews, and cousins preceded him in death.
