PEORIA - Evelyn M. Mannon, 84, of Peoria, formerly of Benson, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home.Evelyn was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Sweetwater, Ill., to Robert and Fannie Gilkison Fitzgerald. Evelyn married Elberton M. Shane on Sept. 25, 1949, in Peoria. He passed away Jan. 28, 1984, in Eldridge, Iowa. 
<p>Later she married George K. Eversole on June 10, 1986, in Pocahontas, Ark., and he passed away Dec. 15, 1990, in Peoria. She then married Vernon Mannon in January of 1996, and he survives.

Evelyn was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Lori Crandall; and four brothers, Dale, Leon, Dan and Robert Fitzgerald.She was a member of Glen Oak Christian Church.Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at The Wilton Mortuary with the Rev. Randy Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the mortuary on Tuesday. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap.Memorials may be made to Glen Oak Christian Church.
