Born August 7, 1931, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Edgar "Ed" Hall and Mary "DeeDee" Lyons Hall. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood, Peter, and Robert Hall, and two sisters, Jean Hall Barnes and infant Betty Lou Hall.

Judy is survived by her husband of sixty years, William Baldwin "Bill" Sloan, Jr., whom she wed November 7, 1953, and their five children, William Keith Sloan (Elizabeth) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rosemary Sloan of Olive Hill, David W. Sloan of Newport, Oregon, Ronald Gene Sloan of Morehead, and Mona Rae Sloan of Morehead, as well as two grandchildren, Sarah Sloan Krug (Billy) and Anthony Stubbs.

Judy was a homemaker and former employee of Ezelle's Flowers and The Morehead News. She served as co-chairman of the Rowan County Republican Party for 20 years and also enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, cooking, and visiting family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow at the Evans Cemetery on Cranston Road.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
