Jonathon Landon Thompson, age 40, of Morgan Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born October 4, 1974, in Hazard, he is the son of Johnny Lowell Thompson and wife Connie of Clearfield, and Rose Hamm Dunn and husband Mel of Seattle, Washington.

In addition to his parents, Jon is also survived by his wife, Tonya Renee King Thompson; three sons, Jonathan Tanner Easterling, Jordan Landon Thompson and Jentry Taylor Lowell Thompson, all of Clearfield; three daughters, Haley Thompson of Morehead and Juleese Thompson and Jocie Thompson, both of Clearfield; three brothers, Brad Thompson of Morehead and Derek Cook and Justin Cook, both of Seattle, Washington; his grandmother, Lena Hamm of Flemingsburg; nieces and nephews; extended family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Lyn Howard, and his grandparents, John Huff and Fredia Parish Thompson and Lloyd Hamm.

Jon was a construction worker. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family who meant everything to him.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge.

Pallbearers: Jason Martin, Ernie Wallace, Thomas Reed, Brad Thompson, Jonathan Easterling, Jordan Thompson and Jentry Thompson.

Visitation is 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
