Galliehue Grant Campbell (1952-2007)

The Lord Jesus Christ came and took Gallie home Sunday, Oct. 7.

He was born on April 10, 1952, in Camp Pickett, Va., the son of the late Alonzo Campbell Jr. and Freeda Porter James of Louisville, Ky. He was an employee of Pregis in Wurtland, Ky.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ruby Hamm Campbell and his daughter, Angela Dawn Skeens and her husband, Curt and a beautiful granddaughter whom God allowed him to meet, Jaden Grace, known to her Pawpaw as his “Little Buddy.”

Additional survivors are his sisters, Vickie Butler and her husband, Joe of Louisville, and Tina Schroeder and her husband, Mel of Indianapolis; two brothers, Larry James and his wife, Sammy of Flatwoods, Ky., and Lonnie Campbell and his wife, Melissa of Ironton, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Loraine Campbell of Grayson, Ky.; his mother-in-law, Maxine Hamm of Raceland, Ky.; and a host of other loving family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Service will be Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with the Rev. Curt Skeens officiating. Interment will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
