Harry W. Tomey, 71, 3615 S. Walnut St., died Sunday in Ball Hospital.

Mr. Tomey was a native of Elnora, but had lived in Muncie most of his life. He was a World War II veteran and worked 33 years as a pattern maker at Superior Casting and Aluminum. He was a member of American Legion Delaware Post 19 and the 40 & 8.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Opal; a son, Jerry, Yorktown; two daughters, Judy (Mrs. James) Hensley and Sandra (Mrs. Les) Lange, both of Muncie; two brothers, Clyde, Farmland, and Don, Muncie; four sisters, Wanda Bookout, Matilda Graves, and Lavida McSherry, all of Muncie, and Eva Nolan, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with Rev. Harold Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
