James H. Hensley, 69
James H. Hensley, 69, went home to be with the his Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
He
was born March 13, 1940 in Muncie to James A. and Mary Alberta (Morris)
Hensley. James was a graduate of Muncie Central High School class of
1958.
He was a production worker at Delco Battery until his
retirement in February 1998. James liked sports in general but
basketball and the Muncie Central Bearcats were his favorite. Also he
was an avid fan of Indiana University, Ball State, Indiana Pacers and
Colts. James was a collector of Muncie Central High School year books.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Survivors
include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Judy (Tomey) Hensley; two
sons, Ronald J. Hensley (wife, Kathy) of Selma, Aaron H. Hensley of
Muncie; one daughter, Peggy S. Mullenix (husband, Kenneth) of Muncie,
mother Mary Alberta Hensley of South Carolina, one brother John Hensley
(wife-Jean) of Muncie, two sisters Helen Colsten (husband-Everett) of
Muncie and Janet Kent (husband-Dennis) of South Carolina, five
grandchildren Melinda Hensley of Selma, James Underhill, Jr. of Muncie,
Hannah Hensley of Selma, Reba Peters of Muncie, Bobbie Peters, Jr. of
Muncie; brother-in-law, Jerry Tomey (wife, Sharon) of Muncie.
James
was preceded in death by his father, James A. Hensley; his in-laws,
Harry Willis and Bessie Opal (Cooper) Tomey; two sister-in laws, Cathy
Tomey and Sandra K. Lange.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00
p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow
at Jones Cemetery.
Family and friends will call from 4-8 p.m.
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the mortuary and one hour prior to
services on Thursday.
The family request that memorials be made
