NEW CASTLE-Juanita Armstrong,84,a resident of New Castle,died Sunday in Henry County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Armstrong,who was born in New Castle (according to Henry County Birth Records)a daughter of Claude and Roxy (Reeves)Estelle. She had lived in New Castle for the past 66 years. She was a 60 year-member of Christ United Methodist Church,where she had been children's director for 30 years and she had been secretery for the New Castle Brotherhood and Sisterhood for many years. She was a secretary and receptionist at New Castle Senior Center for 8 years,represented the senior citizens service organization "Green Thumb" and volunteered at Henry County Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include three daughters,Julia Logston, Evelyn Humbles and Vickie Morgan;two sons,Robert K (wife:Helen)Armstrong and Michael (wife:Veronica)Armstrong;a sister,Zella (husband: Wayne)Jordan;three brothers,Forrest (wife:Nora) Estelle,Claude (wife:Thelma)Estelle Jr. and Earl Estelle;14 grandchildren;20 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Her husband,Orville Armstrong,died in 1964. A son,grandchild,great-grandchild,and two brothers are also deceased.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Christ United Methodist Church. Burial will be in South Mound.
