Ella Satterfield Fanning, 84, of 70 Fanning Lane, Salt Lick, passed away Thursday, Februay 8, 1996 at St. Claire Medical Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Fanning was born June 29, 1911 at Stringtown, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late John and Olivia Hanks Satterfield. She was a retired school teacher with the Bath Co. School System and was a member of the Salt Lick Christian Church and the Salt Lick Chapter, O.E.S. Survivors include 2 daughters, Betty Caulkins and her husband, John of Farmington, New York and Olivia Becraft and her husband Cardwell of Olympia; two sons, Edward Fanning and his wife Margaret of Dayton, Ohio and Joseph Fanning and his wife Barbara of Mt. Sterling, one sister, Sue Blevins of Morehead, fifteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 10, 1996 at the Salt Lick Christian Church with Rev. James Quisenberry and Rev. Calvin Lindell officiating. Interment was in Polksville Cemetery.
