Harold Robin Fanning, 44, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington Friday afternoon after a brief illness. He was a veteran of World War II and a highway engineer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Jones Fanning, Lexington, a daughter, Miss Peggy Jo Fanning, Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Carnath, Johnson Station, Miss.; Mrs. Alma Dickerson, Anderson, Ind., and Mrs. Hazel Perry, Salt Lick. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence of Mrs. Perry by the Rev. Bill Moore. Burial in Polksville Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. R. Jones, Charles Ray Gregory, Tom Evans, Jr., Walter Karrick, Eddie Fanning, Harold Perry, Junior Powell and Walter Razor. Arrangements were under the direction of the Powell Funeral Home.
