Maude May Caudill Adkins, age 81, of Clearfield Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Life Care Center of Morehead.

She was born March 12, 1928, in Carter County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Cleve and Margie Tackett Caudill.

She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Adkins; two sons, Kenneth Ray Adkins and his wife Mable of Morehead, Kentucky, and James Ronnie Adkins and his wife Mary of Clearfield, Kentucky; one daughter, Connie Louise Adkins Griggs and her husband Danny of Farmers, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Anthony Adkins, Kim Adkins (Chad) Taylor, Phillip (Britney) Adkins, David Adkins, Tammie Griggs, Laura Griggs, and Tony Griggs; and eight great grandchildren.

Maude and Wilburn owned and operated Adkins T.V. Service in Morehead for many years. She enjoyed meeting the public and quilting. Maude was a member of the Elliottville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Rhodes and the Rev. David Keeton officiating. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Adkins, Christopher Adkins, Phillip Adkins, David Adkins, Tony Griggs, and Chad Taylor.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
