James Harvey Hilderbrand, age 61, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday night, January 15, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born October 22, 1949, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late James McKinley and Martha Workman Hilderbrand. Mr. Hilderbrand was a member of Henderson Branch Christian Holiness Church. He was employed for 20 years at St. Claire Medical Center as an Inventory Stock Clerk and retired from Carter County Board of Education where he worked at Carter County Vocational Technical School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Hilderbrand, and a sister, Phyllis Hilderbrand James. James is survived by his wife of 29 years, Helen Hicks Hilderbrand, one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Chris Kelley of Lexington, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Rhonda Kelley, Kristen Kelley, and Kaitlyn Kelley of Lexington, Kentucky, one brother, Gordon Hilderbrand of Ashland, Ohio, four sisters, Freda Fisher and husband Harold of Mansfield, Ohio, Joyce Hardwick of Mansfield, Ohio, Shirley Hilderbrand of Shelby, Ohio, and Linda Enyhart of Columbus, Ohio, a special nephew, "Paul" Sean James and wife Janet, who looked to James as a brother and dad, and godson, Tyler Stevens. He also leaves several other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Terry Dean and Brother John Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Ryan Bromwell, Christopher Burchett, Keith Walker, Chad Cervinski, Chris Kelley, and Jeff Fisher will serve as pallbearers. Tyler Stevens, Chase Burchett, Edman Hicks, Steve Stubbs, Randall Wheeler, and Larry Dacci will serve as honorary pallbearers.
