ELMER H. CLINE, 91, of Mansfield, died December 20, 2014. Born December 22, 1922 in Cranston, Kentucky, he was the son of Charles Abner and Nola (Littleton) Cline. Elmer spent seven years in the Navy aboard the USS Iowa in the South Pacific. He worked for Mansfield Tire and Rubber and later, Meyers Pump in Ashland. A kind, patient man, he loved growing crops and gardening. Elmer was a member of First Wesleyan Church for over 70 years, and had served as church treasurer. Married for over 60 years, Elmer was a wonderful husband to his beloved wife, Alma. Surviving are his wife, Alma Sammons Cline; daughter, Debbie (Paul) Marker, of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Betty Salyers of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Mary Jane Cline of Lexington; and brother, C. Joe Cline of Springfield, Ohio. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lorene Cline and Flora Kiser and brothers, Bill A. Cline, Ivan Cline, and Charles Cline. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Keith Carlisle, will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church, 1908 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour prior to the service, from 12-1 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
