Opal M. Hinton, age 85, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1926 in Morehead, KY to Everett and Ethel Fultz. Opal worked at City Auto Stamping for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Opal was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and weekend all night Poker games with her family. She also enjoyed working in the yard, and flower and vegetable gardening. She was especially proud of the "Snowball Bush", a bush not indigenous to this area, which she brought from her home State of Kentucky and planted in her own yard as well as her children's. Opal is survived by her children, Jeanette (Bill) Burbank of Morehead, KY, Bobbie (John) Szabo of Toledo, Sue Hinton of Toledo and Carolyn Lewandowski of Toledo; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Violet Nickel of Toledo and Mabel (Kenny) Adkins of Morehead, KY; and brother, Bill (Louise) Fultz of New Castle, IN. In addition to her parents, Everett and Ethel, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hinton; two brothers; and two sisters. Visitation and services will be private.
