Harry S., 79, of Midwest City, passed away Wed., March 2, 1994. He was born April 5, 1914 in Goddard, Ky. to W.R. and Mable (Carpenter) James. Mr. James' career with Federal Civil Service began Dec. 3, 1941 at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. He was transferred to Tinker AFB in 1952. He received the Meritorious Civil Service Award prior to his retirement Feb. 3, 1972. He was a DMM B-52 Airframe Branch Chief. Mr. James was a member of Wickline United Methodist Church, Wickline Methodist Mens Club; The Fellowship Sunday School Class; The Airstream Club and Tinker Officers Club. Married on July 26, 1933 in Tilton, Ky. to Marguerite Colliver. Survived by his wife, Marguerite of the home; a son, Harold S. James of Flemingsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Beauchef of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Lee James of Aberdeen, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Robin, Mike, John, Jamie a nd Peggy; 4 great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, March 5, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wickline United Methodist Church. Burial in Arlington Memory Gardens. Rev. Jim Ramsey and Bob Winslow will officiate.
