Lloyd Cooper, 79, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2011, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mr. Cooper was born December 12, 1931, in Worthington, a son of the late Simuel and Grace Hamm Cooper. 

He retired as a clerk from the CSX Railroad after 45 years and was a member of Worthington Nazarene Church and the Ashland YMCA.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Nazarene Church by the Rev. Paul Neal. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
