RAYMOND RUDOLPH COOPER, 85, of the Wilmar Convalescent Home, Utica, Michigan, died at 4:20 p.m, Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Saint John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. He was the widower of Virginia Irene Engholm Cooper.He was born at Eby, March 22, 1920, the son of the late Columbus Westfall and Oma Pearl Roe Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a self-employed businessman as a manager in rental property. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Albany, Georgia, and a Veteran of World War II as a Technician 5th grade, where he served in the United Sates Army.Mr. Cooper is survived by one son, Randy Ray Cooper of Sterling Heights, Michigan; one daughter, Sharan Carmany of Climax, Michigan; two brothers, Forest Cooper and Vernon Cooper, both of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Sarah Carmany and Raymond Carmany, both of Climax. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Chester Cooper, Wallace Cooper, Lionel Cooper, Donald Cooper, Corbett Cooper and Columbus Cooper Jr. and three sisters, Guineth Avanelle Cooper, Geneva Shumway and Mabel Heath.Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gaydos Funeral Home, in Vanceburg, with representatives of the Church of Latter Day Saints officiating.
