Susan G. Boggs, 82, of Atchison passed away Monday July 23, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday July 26, 2012 at First Christian Church with Rev. Lee Hendon officiating. She will be cremated following the service and burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Sugar Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Susan was born April 10, 1930 in Atchison KS the daughter of Herbert & Edith (Fliner) Ham. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1948. Susan was a bank teller at City National Bank for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was involved in Christian Women's Fellowship, and the church choir for over twenty years, she was also a member of Atchison Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing. Her kids recall her favorite saying "This too shall pass".

Susan married Dean Boggs on August 20, 1950 at First Christian Church in Atchison. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son; Bob (Mary) Boggs of Wakarusa KS, a daughter; Linda (Leroy) Schoenfelder, Lansing KS, three grandsons; Michael (Sarah) Boggs, Matthew (Barb) Boggs and Neil Schoenfelder; four great grandchildren; Tyler Boggs, Brennan Boggs, Jamie Boggs and Evan Boggs; and Dean's sister; Judy (Larry) Williams and their family Michelle, Kathy and Gary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters; Sally Blagg, Betty Gerard, Rosie VanDyke, Dorothy Wyrick, Virginia Scott and Shirley Miller.
