Marvin Caleb 'Caley' Easton, age 72, of James Road, Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born September 20, 1938, at Waltz, Kentucky, in Rowan County, he was the son of Lloyd and Lois Lewman Easton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Pearl Ann Logan; one brother, William Eugene Easton; and one son, Mark Dwayne Easton.

Caley is survived by one son; Richard Easton of Morehead, Kentucky; three daughters, Pamela Benson of Poteau, Oklahoma, Robin Bockelman of San Angelo, Texas; and Jessica Mowry of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Robert Easton of Morehead, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Jesse and Colton Easton, Casey and Cody Bockelman, and Jonce Caleb Franklin.

Caley, a U.S. Army veteran, served in the Vietnam War and retired from the military after serving more than 23 years. Following his retirement, he was a food services manager at Ft. Knox, and later owned and operated a farm in Fleming County, where he enjoyed raising cattle, thoroughbred horses, and quarter horses. He was a member of W. N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lansford May, Rev. Chris Reeves, and Rev. Clifford Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Veterans Field with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Easton, Jason Stephens, Elvis Middleton, Shane Middleton, Doug Easton, and Norman Benson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Woods and Blake Woods.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
