Wanda "PeeWee" Gardner, 76, wife of Ervin Eugene Gardner, to whom she married on March 2, 1957, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Born February 21, 1938 in Beechburg, she was the daughter of the late C.H. and Etta Doyle Fearin. Wanda was retired from housekeeping at Fleming County Hospital and Community Trust Bank. She attended Beechburg Christian Holiness Church and was a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary. Wanda loved to go fishing and she enjoyed her flowers and working in the garden. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved her family. Besides her husband, she is survived by: five children, Debbie (Danny) McCord of Cowan, Gary Gardner of Beechburg, Rod (Dianna) Gardner of Beechburg, Jeff (Mary Ann) Gardner of Beechburg, and Rhonda (Johnny) Hord of Tollesboro; grandchildren, Tara (Jim Brannen) McCarty, Nicole and Billy Fry, Shannon and Chris Gardner, Jessica Hord (fiance', Cale Harper), Robbie Hord, Gina and Spencer Walters, Morgan Gardner, and Jacob Gardner; great-grandchildren, Haley and Cody McCarty, Brylee Gardner; step-grandchildren, Shelly Sewell and Jacob Perkins; step-great-great-grandchildren, Emma and Callan Sewell; sisters, Bonnie (Ronnie) Hickerson of Nicholasville, and Geneva (Jim) Glanton of Shelbyville, IN; and a brother, C.F. "June" (Nancy) Fearin of New Whiteland, IN. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers, R.T. Fearin and D.M. Fearin; sisters, Lorene Stanfield, Delores Parker, Thelma Marshall, and Mary Gardner; and a step-granddaughter, Angela McCord May. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Dean Brewer and Bro. Lonnie Eden with burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday September 3rd at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robbie Hord, Chris Gardner, Cale Harper, Spencer Walters, Jacob Gardner, Cody McCarty, Jim Brannen, and Billy Fry.
