Funeral services for Roy E. Abshire, 69, Marion, Indiana were held in the Diggs Funeral Home in Marion on Tuesday, February 4, with burial in the Grant Memorial Cemetery there.

Mr. Abshire passed away suddenly on Sunday following a heart attack. He had farmed in Brown County for 17 years, moving to Marion in 1952.

He is survived by his wife Jane; two sons, Stephen, Okochobee, florida, George, Martinsville, two daughters, Mrs. Mae Koch, Athens, Michigan and Mrs. Judith Abshire, Marion.

He also leaves one brother, Adrian of Eaton, Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Hunt, Tracy, Missouri; Nellie Yates, Montpelier, Indiana and Mrs. Mary McGinnis, Marion.
