Janet Glover Jones, 67, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her home after an illness of several months.

She was born on August 25, 1941 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William and Leona Walsh Glover.

Mrs. Jones was a former security guard for Family Dollar Distribution Center and the manager of Merle and Jan's Hair Studio. She was a member of the Sharkey Freewill Baptist Church. Jan was an excellent cook and homemaker and she enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery and quilting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William 'Wig' Glover and Lawrence Herbert Glover.

Survivors include her husband, Merle Jones, whom she married on October 22, 1980, of Morehead, two sons, Burl Dewayne Gregory and Rodney Blaine Gregory both of Morehead, three sisters, Louise Stigall Carroll and her husband, Clayton, Margaret 'Mickey' Jennings and Darlene Caskey and her companion, Bob Adams all of Morehead, three grandchildren, Erica Renee Gregory, Justin James Gregory and Haley Renee Caskey and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 17, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Tony Glover, Roger Stigall, Rick Stigall, Richie Caskey, Robbie Caskey, Clinton Hamm, Greg Stigall, Darrell Glover and Jeff Glover.
