Mrs. Lola Gregory Jones, 97, of Upper Lick Fork, Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville, Kentucky.

She was born on December 15, 1912 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Sam and Laura Hamm Gregory.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, quilting and having meals with her church and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on January 29, 1931, Millard Jones, who passed away in 1975, two sons, Eugene “Blue” Jones, who passed away in 2009 and infant son, Ronald Jones, who passed away in 1944, one daughter, Bertha Jones Wallace, who passed away in 2007, one brother, Orville Gregory and four sisters, Goldie Moss, Myrtle Murphy, Ethel Faulkner and Beulah Riggs.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence (Brenda) Jones, Cleo Jones and Glenn Jones all of Clearfield, one daughter, Letha Cox of Morehead, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 2, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Carlos Bowman, Rev. Charles Moore and Rev. Herbert D. Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Brown, Matthew Collins, Randy Cox, Wesley Cox, James Wallace, Cliff Wilson, Terry Wallace and T. J. Wallace.
