Leck Gullett, 79, died Saturday, May 17, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dayton, Oh after an extended illness. Born May 29, 1900 in Johnson County, he was the son of James B. and Mary Blanton Gullett, and was a resident of Volga. He was a retired U.S. mail carrier and a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Jennie Blair Gullett; four sons, Don of Clarksville, TN, James W. of New Carlisle, OH, Paul of Hager Hill, and Wendell of Volga; two daughters, Christine Blanton of Oil Springs, and Reida Hope Robinson of Springfield, OH; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Services held Tuesday, May 20, in Low Gap United Baptist Church at Oil Springs with Elders J.T. Bailey, James H. Blair and Lonza Reed officiating. Burial was in Blanton Branch Cemetery, Manila with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, May 21, 1980
