Andrew Eugene Hamm, 72, passed away Friday at his residence in Muncie following a brief illness.

He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky. He worked for Campbell Soup in the 1970's then later for the Council of Laborers and Hod Carriers Local #1112, Bowen Construction. 

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mildred (Anderson, Jones) Hamm; daughters, Brenda Hamm, Alice Hamm, Betty Spencer, and Jeannie Parker; step daughters, Kathy Johnson and Vicki Ball; brothers, Johnnie Hamm and Russell Hamm; sisters, Mary Stacy and Drema Jones; and 14 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Maudie (Burton) Hamm; son, Michael Hamm; brother, Eddie Hamm; and sister, Lillie Gibson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Stigers officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
