She was born May 12, 1941 in Worthington, KY., to the late Lorren and Goldie May (Blevins) Hamm.

On June 2, 1959 she married Carl E. Blackburn, he preceded her in death on March 10, 2005.

Betty was a member of International Pentacostal Church of Christ and was employed at Golden Valley Popcorn for twenty three years.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Robert) Jones of Marion, Carla (Warren) Geisey of Marion; a son, Ed (Sandy) Blackburn of Marion; four sisters, Janice (Rev. Rick) Cox of Galion, OH., Ethel (Steve) Wormell of Columbus, OH., Linda Blevins of Marion, OH., Brenda Hamm Sommers of Arizona; sisters in law, Sandy Hamm of Logan, OH., Mary Dale Hamm of Larue, OH.; five brothers, Martin Elmer (Sonya) Hamm of Marion, Larry (Janet) Hamm of Marion, Charlie (Tessie) Hamm of Marion, Ernest (Rose) Hamm of Marion, Preston (Jean) Hamm of Lancaster, OH.; brother in law, Bernard Hagerman of Greencamp, OH.; nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by four brothers, Troy Hamm, Jim Hamm, Ralph Jesse Hamm, Billy Jo Hamm; three sisters, Donna Lynn Hamm, Virginia Nale Goble and Martha Hagerman.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 11, 2012 (11 AM) at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4 - 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
