Harry Keith Hamm, 85 of Perry, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Linn Wood Care home in Meriden after a long illness. Keith was born December 1, 1926 at Williamstown, the son of Glenn Louis and Nellie Elizabeth Brown Hamm.

A lifelong resident of the Perry area, he was a 1945 graduate of Perry Rural High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #142 in Perry.

Keith worked and served as Maintenance Superintendent for the Hamm s Company in Perry, retiring in 1982 after 40 years of Service.

He was married to Virginia Irene Hunter on June 28, 1947 at Perry, she survives at the home.

He is also survived by three daughters, Janis D. (Gary) Pearson, Williamstown, Jo A. (Alex) Guletsky, Portland, OR., Jeanette K. (Richard) Elliott, Lawrence, one sister, Glenna Nell Dick, Overland Park, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Julie Lynn Thornton, and infant daughter Hamm, two sisters, Norma J. Damp and Una Jean O Gara, and a brother, George Glenn Hamm.

Memorial Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 21, at the Perry United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service. Private Family burial with Legion Military honors will be at Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown. Mr. Hamm will lie in state from 10:00 am to 6:00 PM, Friday at the Barnett Family Funeral Home , 1220 Walnut (Hwy 59) Oskaloosa, KS.
