Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine H. Lamar will be conducted 2p.m. thursday at the Pleasant Valley Christian Church by Rev. Sandford Doyle and Rev. Arthur Jackson. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery, Fleming County.

Mrs. Lamar, 55, of Foxport, wife of O.W. Lamar, died Monday at Fleming County Hospital. Death was attributed to a brain stroke.

She was married to Omar William Lamar October 31, 1931, in Maysville.

Born in Fleming County March 19, 1913, a daughter of the late Clyde and Minnie Hickerson Hamm, the deceased had lived her entire life in the Foxport community.

She was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Christian Church.

Survivors besides her husband are three sons, James Dudley Doyle and Omar Thomas Lamar, both of Route 1, Wallingford, and Charles Lloyd Lamar, Route 1, Flemingsburg; four daughters, Mrs. Gene Burton, Route 1, Ewing, Mrs. Eula Grace Finch, Flemingsburg, and Mary Louise and Olive Annetta Lamar, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Hamm of Williams Street, maysville and Mrs. Raymond Fearin, Route 1, Wallingford; a brother, Alvin Hamm,Route 1, Wallingford, and 13 grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lee Prater, predeceased her.
