OVAL HAMM 1921 - 2011 Oval Hamm, 90, of Flatwoods, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Hamm was born February 22, 1921, in Worthington, a son of the late Robert and Sarah Hyatt Hamm. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty McCarty Hamm. He was a retired laborer with C&O Railroad and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are three daughters, Connie Hamm of Ashland, Donna King of Naples, Fla., and Emma Lou Hamm of Denver, Colo.; four sons, Jeff Hamm of Argillite, Jerry Hamm of Ashland and Gary Hamm and Larry Hamm, both of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy Cox of Flatwoods; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon Friday, March 11, 2011, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. David Morrison. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Military graveside services will be by American Legion Post 276 of South Shore. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. | |
