Robert “Bobby” Hamm Jr., 79, of Maysville, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hamm was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Ewing, to the late Robert Bartin and Dora Humphries Hamm.

He retired from the Mason County Road Department and was also a farmer. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing and working on various carpentry projects. He also enjoyed taking long rides in the country with his sons.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Edward Hamm and Timothy Wayne Hamm, both of Maysville; two daughters, Karen Marie (Joe) Wix of Manchester, and Donna Jean Hamm of Ohio; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Barbee of Columbus, and Allie Mae Tucker of Maysville; two brothers, James B. (Jackie) Hamm of Aberdeen, and Ivan “Butch” (Barb) Hamm of Independence; 17 nephews; 12 nieces; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carol Perkins Hamm; four brothers, Claude, Raymond, Charles and Clyde Hamm; two sisters, Aletha Rose and Norma Sue Hamm; and two step-sisters, Ina and Mary Lee Barker.

Services for Robert Hamm Jr. will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
