Mrs. Zella Hamm Harris, Age 71 of Morehead, passed away Friday evening, November 7, 2014 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack.
She was born March 14, 1943 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Ora and Alice Johnson Hamm.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed watching game shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sheridan Harris, Three brothers, Gene Hamm, Thurman Hamm and Emerson Hamm. Three sisters, Violet Eulett, Fern Kelley and Thelma Hamm. Also, a daughter-in-law, Jane Harvey McKinney Harris.
Survivors include her children, Mickey Harris, Ricky Harris, Sonya Caudill, Rhonda Lowe and her husband Glennis all of Morehead. Three sisters, Floella Bryant and Ruth Cox of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Phyllis Beaty of Upland, Indiana. Seven Grandchildren, Scottie Caudill, Mark Adkins, Kelli Baber, Ashley Stevens, Shane Adkins, Stephen Harris and Ceara Goodpaster, twenty-three great-grandchildren, Her last living Aunt, Tiny Johnson of Olive Hill, Kentucky and a special friend, Alisa Wright of Morehead and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Delmar Logan, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the Trumbo Hill Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home is after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
Pall Bearers will be Scottie Caudill, Mark Adkins, Shane Adkins, Bryan Stevens, Glennis Lowe and Steven Harris.
