CHAPEL HILL,TN--Jewel H. Dodson, 92, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at NHC Lewisburg. She was born March 12, 1920 in Flemingsburg, KY, the daughter of Homer and Lillie May Heflin and graduated from Mayslick High School in Kentucky. Jewell retired from Warner Gear Production after several years of service. She was a member of U.A.W. #289 and a former member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Survivors include her two children, Charles "Sonny" Dodson (wife-Ada) and Carolyn Mobley; four grandchildren, Christopher Whitttenburg, Jada Lynn Dodson, Melody Perry and Andy Welches; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; five sisters; one daughter, Sandra Welches; and the father of her children, Charles R. Dodson. Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
