Mr. Everett Allen Hilderbrand, age 81, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

He was born November 10, 1933, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late John and Bessie Henderson Hilderbrand.

Allen was of the Christian Holiness faith and retired from General Refractories. He worked as a greeter at Morehead Walmart and truly loved his job. Allen enjoyed watching UK Basketball, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Texanna Clough Davis Hilderbrand; seven brothers, Luther Hilderbrand, Laverne Hilderbrand, Archie Hilderbrand, Artis Hilderbrand, Luster Hilderbrand, Clesta Hilderbrand, and Romey Hilderbrand; and five sisters, Olive Ellison, Martha Riley, Alma Hamm, Opal Rayburn, and Vesta Ellison.

Allen is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Rowena Hilderbrand of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Don Craft of Morehead, Kentucky; two stepsons, John E. Davis of Eaton, Indiana, and Ronald C. Davis and wife Mary of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; one brother, Leronis Hilderbrand of Tallulah, Louisana, and one sister, Bethel Loftis of Gordon, West Virginia. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Globe Christian Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Rayburn and Brother Terry Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Rayburn Community Cemetery on Flat Fork.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164. Mr. Hilderbrand will also lie in state one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
