Hannah Iolene Hamm, 79, of Wallingford, passed away Monday August 31, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Morehead, with her family by her side.

Iolene was born November 15, 1935 in Fleming County to the late Garr Russell and Ada Laura Gardner Hickerson.

Iolene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed being with her family and caring for them. She was a Christian and attended Fox Valley Community Church.

Iolene is survived by her children Barry (Karen) Hamm, Jeff (Melette) Hamm, Cathy (Ronnie) Conley and Connie (Tracy) Hamilton; grandchildren Jason (Carolyn) Conley, Dustin (Sarah) Hamm, Casey Conley, Jessica (Richard) Traylor, Benjamin (Hannah Doyle) Hamm, Hannah Hamm, Caleb Conley, Matt (Michelle) Hamilton, Tierra (Tim) Kochendoefer and Brooke Hamilton; great grandchildren Lexi, Shelby and Kara Conley, Madison Douglas, Toby and Gracyn Traylor, Jackson, Jacob, Jordan and Matthew Hamilton, Hunter and Isaac Hamm, Braxton and Carter Kochendoefer; sisters Lena McGlone and Janet Brewer.

Iolene was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hamm; parents; brothers Alfred Leslie and Roy Brooks Hickerson; sister Mary Ruth Harper.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Boone – Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Marshall and Pastor Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery in Morehead, KY. Visitation will be 6 –9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Barry Hamm and grandsons will serve as pallbearers and Greg Buckley and Mark Gulley will serve as honorary pallbearers, granddaughters will serve as flower girls.
