Hildreth Eulean Johnson Black, 80, of Rensselaer, IN, formerly of Rowan County, passed away May 23, 2014, at the Rensselaer Care Center.

Born July 23, 1933, in Sharkey, she was the daughter of Burley and Zella Kegley Johnson.

On September 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Edward Black, who passed away January 13, 1980.

Hildreth was blessed with six children, Ralph (Jo Ellen), Black, Lafayette, IN; Paul (Deana) Black, Remington, IN; Dennis (Judy) Black, Rensselaer, IN; Larry (Laura) Black, Rensselaer, IN; Jackie (Steve) Martin, Rensselaer, IN and Donna (Bill) Wiggam, Carmel, IN.

She had 14 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 7 step grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers, Donald (Ina) Johnson, Tutor Key, KY, and Dalas (Marlene) Johnson, Defiance, OH, and three sisters, Mildred Glick, Defiance, OH, Carroll (Ron) Shroyer, Mesa,AZ, and Shirley (Robert) Hughes, West Liberty, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Larry; two brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter.

Visitation is after 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with a funeral service to be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Johnson Black Cemetery in Sharkey.

Arrangements are under the direction of by Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
