John Kitchen, age 55, of County Road 260, Henagar, Alabama, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, at his residence.

Born January 1, 1955, in Mansfield, Ohio, he is the son of Harold and Geneva Peach Hamm Kitchen of Henagar, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Janice Reynolds of Corsicana, TX; two grandchildren, Jaclyn and Isaiah; two brothers, William (Bill) Kitchen of Warren, Michigan, and Roger Kitchen of Imlay City, Michigan; and one sister, Garnet (Jean) Ususan of Imlay City, Michigan.

Other survivors include seven nieces and nephews, Lisa Marie Ususan, Kari Caudill, Michael, Matthew, and Amber Kitchen, Victoria Zaragoza, and Brianna Kitchen; six great nieces and nephews, Amanda Frisina, Brittney and Adam Caudill, Autumn and J. R. Twymon, and Hayden Zaragoza; two aunts and one uncle, Rita Hamm of Ider, Alabama, and Willie and Alice Hamm of Morehead, Kentucky; and other beloved family and friends.

John was a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. He had a passion for NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt (RIP) and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and loved traveling the United States.

Graveside services and interment will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Mabry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
