He was a retired farmer and was prominent many years in the Pardee community before retiring from the farm about 20 years ago. He was born Dec.24. 1854 at Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at the Sawin Douglas chapel at 2 p.m. today, the Rev. Harold Roberts officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Lewman, Curtis Lewman, John Noonan, Curtis Ingels, Alvin Gilkison and Albert Myers.
Mr. Lewman is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Hilderbrand, Corning, and a brother, Henry Lewman, Wetmore.
