Laura Mae Mineer, 92, Community Care Center, New Castle, Ind., died at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 1991 in the Center, where she was a resident. She was born April 8, 1899 in Fleming County, Kentucky, the daughter of Jacob Elmer and Ora Ann Simon List. She moved from Kentucky to south of Westport in 1939 and then in 1973 she moved into the city limits on North Poplar Street. In 1981, she moved to New Castle, Ind. She was a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church. On April 5, 1916, she married Ambrose Dudley Mineer in Flemingsburg, Ky., and he preceded her in death May 13, 1971. She is survived by three sons, Clyde G. Mineer of Wilmington, Ohio, Donald P. Mineer of LaVerne, Calif., and Jacob T. Mineer, Temple City, Calif.; seven daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dora) Craycraft and Mrs. Russell (Evelyn) Prater, both of Cincinnati, Mrs. Guy (Genivee) Powers, New Castle, Ind., Mrs. Robert (Frances) Thompson, Payson, Ariz., Mrs. Frank (Alice) Baker, New Castle, Ind., Mrs. Kenneth (Catherine) Sublett, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. Bronson (Ruth) Flint, Vail, Ore.; a niece whom she raised, Mrs. Bill (Eunice Rose) Green, Bradford, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marguerite Mineer, who died in infancy; two brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Wayne H. Isaacs and the Rev. Paul E. Mills will officiate the services at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Westport Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in the Westport Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Bass and Gasper Funeral Home, Westport, from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
