Elder F. T. Littleton, age 77, of Cobb Road, Williamsburg, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his residence.

He was born October 26, 1933, in Rowan County, Kentucky, son of the late Charles N. and Ethel Tackett Littleton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Ersel, Leschester, Walter, Dillard, Oval, Cleo, and Shirley Littleton; two sisters, Evelyn Stamper and Sereda “Tweed” Lawhun; and one granddaughter, Paula Sue Littleton.

His wife of nearly 50 years, Joyce Ann Sapp Littleton, whom he wed December 21, 1957, passed away September 18, 2007.

F. T. is survived by three sons, Ercel Littleton of Amelia, Ohio, Charles Littleton and Timothy Scott Littleton, both of Williamsburg, Ohio; one daughter, Donna Cooper of Newport News, Virginia; two sisters, Beatrice Hall and Opal Pennington, both of Morehead, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

F. T. served in the U.S. Army and retired from U. S. Playing Cards as a machinist. He was an ordained minister in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church for over 50 years and was known as a very able minister in the church.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Frank Baldridge, Elder Joe Miller, and Elder Cephas Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ercel Littleton, Charles Littleton, Eric Smith, Tim Littleton, Matthew Ferguson, Chuck Littleton, and E. J. Littleton.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with church service to be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
