Sereda Madeline “Tweed” Littleton Lawhun, age 82, of Argillite, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She passed away peacefully at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky.

Born December 31, 1928, in Rowan County, Kentucky, Sereda was the daughter of Charlie and Ethel Tackett Littleton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Stamper, and seven brothers, Ersel, Leschester, Walter, Dillard, Oval, Delmar, and Shirley Littleton.

Also, one son, Bobby Joe Lawhun, passed away in 1950 and her husband, Charles William (Bill) Lawhun, on May 8, 2004.

She is survived by two daughters, Dottie Jean Martin of Argillite, Kentucky, and Tammy Sue Horner and husband Brian of Seymour, Indiana; one son, Charles J. Lawhun and wife Shirley of Orange City, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Other survivors include two sisters, Beatrice Hall and Opal Pennington, both of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, F. T. Littleton of Williamsburg, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Sereda was a homemaker and member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder F. T. Littleton and Elder Cephas Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Brian Coffey, Larry Holbrook, Justin Bellew, Jamie Thompson, Julie Martin, and Brian Horner.

Visitation is from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
