Willie Jessie "Bill" Littleton, age 78, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, at his residence. Born March 11, 1938, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Leslie and Louie Hamm Littleton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Adrian Sluss, Lafe Littleton, Albert Littleton and Iris Littleton; five sisters, Bertella Mefford, Marie Caudill, Faye Caudill Theans, Eula Hargis, and Christine Hamm; a granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Littleton; and a great granddaughter, Sydney Kay France. Bill is survived by six children, Willie James (Mary Ann) Littleton of Menifee County, Jeffrey Allen (Sandy) Littleton of Mt. Sterling, Vickie Denise Bush of Morehead, Robert Earl (Annette) Littleton of Edmond, Oklahoma, Joseph Craig (Allison) Littleton of Morehead, and Jason Aaron (Mary Glover) Littleton of Morehead; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and one step great grandson. Also surviving are five brothers, Glenn Littleton of Brooksville, Kentucky, Fred Littleton of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Walter Littleton and Kenny Littleton, both of Morehead, and Charlie Littleton of Manchester, Ohio; three sisters, Juanita Little and Jane Highfield, both of Morehead and Bessie Smith of Kettering, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many extended family members and wonderful friends. Bill was a farmer and retired sawmill worker from J. C. Wells and Sons Lumber Company. Known as the "turtle man," he loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, farming, and gardening. He was of the Church of God faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tom Redmon and Brother Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
