Forest McKenzie, 83, of Volga, Ky., died Sunday in a Pikeville Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones and Preston Funeral Home at Paintsville, Ky. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Volga.

A retired farmer, he was born Aug. 4, 1884, in Johnson County, Ky., a son of the late W. H. and Lydia Blanton McKenzie.

His wife, the former Mary Lou Crace, died in 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Everett McKenzie of Volga and Virgil B. McKenzie of Paintsville, two daughters, Mrs. Lura Williams and Mrs. Julia May Williams of Volga, and three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Blanton of Jackson, Ohio, Mrs. Nola Green of East Chicago, Ind.,and Mrs. H. C. Salyer of Flat Gap, Ky.
