Eloise Nadean Middleton Humphries, age 60, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her home. Born February 10, 1957, in Kenton, Ohio, she was the oldest daughter of the late Wilma Jean Johnson Middleton and Earsel Ray Middleton. Eloise is survived by her husband of 42 years, Nelson Wayne Humphries, whom she married June 14, 1975; one son, Chad (Jan) Humphries of Columbus, Ohio; and a grandson, Declan Rhys Humphries. Other survivors include four siblings, Brenda (Michael) DeRossett of Winchester, Elvis (Kim) Middleton of Morehead, Jackie (Brenda) Middleton of Hillsboro; and Lisa (Durke) Masse of Lexington; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Eloise enjoyed quilting, sewing, and caring for her two “boys”, Sam and Barney. She was a member of Queen Street Christian Fellowship in Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with James Paul Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Bradley, Blaine Dells, Clarence Gardner, Jim Graham, Cory Harber, and Jared Muse. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
