VOLGA RESIDENT PASSES SUNDAY Crossford Blair, 72, well-known farmer of Volga, died at his home at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, February 24, (1957). The son of Harrison and Lydia Hitchcock Blair, he was born in Johnson County, November 28, 1884. Survivors include his widow, Bessie Blanton Blair; one son, Grady Blair, Volga; three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Gullett, Oil Springs; Mrs. Maude Burchett, Winchester; Mrs. Grace Estep, Fuget; 13 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren. The following brothers and sisters, Tom Blair, Mrs. Vera Van Hoose, Mrs. Tera Nelson, all of this city; Bruce Blair, Water Gap and Drice Blair, Volga. Funeral services were conducted today at 11:00 a.m., at Oil Springs at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gullett, with Lonza Reed, Oscar McCarty and Tommie Bailey as officiating ministers.
