Paul Stephen King, 82, of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Tuesday morning, February 22, 2011, in the King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, on June 19, 1928, a son of the late Steve and Lilly M. Snipes King. Paul was retired from General Refractories, a carpenter and life-long farmer. He was a member of the Little Mary Old Regular Baptist Church in Morehead and he also attended the Little Jewel Old Regular Baptist Church in Ashland. He enjoyed woodworking and farming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Chester "Chuck" King and infant son, David Allen King, one great-grandchild and siblings, Estill King, Elmer King and Edith Grills. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Oleda Littleton King, three children, Edith Lu Tackett and husband, Phillip Michael of Morehead, Donna Ruth Dillon and husband, Corbet of Olive Hill and Ora Stephen King and wife, Nancy of Salley, South Carolina, one half-sister, Rosemary Erwin and husband, Junior, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Little Mary Old Regular Baptist Church on Maxey Flat with Elder Lonnie Gregory, Elder Terry Bryant and Elder Junior Ruggles officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery at Solider. Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday and visitation at the Little Mary Old Regular Baptist Church is after 6:00 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Josh Webb, Versel Dillon, Brian Dillon, Paul Edward Dillon, Stephen Dillon, Rod Wells and Paul Wayne King.
