In the matter of Aquilla C. Doyle for Pension.
Personally came before me, a Notary Public in and for aforesaid County and State, David E. Staggs aged 44 years citizen of the Town of Sanford, County of Fleming, State of Kentucky, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and whom, that he is well acquainted with said applicant and have known him all his life, said Doyle is a very poor man and of limited circumstances and an Invalid not able to do Manual labor, I was comrade with his son James Doyle in Co. A 10th Ky. Cav., and was present the the Co., and Regt, when the said son was wounded by a gun shot from the Enemy during a battle near Covington,, Ky, about Sept, 1862, and in died in hospital at Lexington, Ky. On or about the 30 March 1863. This he knows from personal knowledge.
The affiant further declares that he has no interest in said case, and is not concerned in its prosecution.

In the matter of Aquilla C. Doyle for Pension, on this 11th day of February A.D. 1889, Personally appeared before me A.H. Evans, County Clerk in and for the aforesaid County duly authorized to administer oaths, W.W. Moore aged 56 years, a resident of Flemingsburg in the County of Fleming and State of Kentucky well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows:
That he is well acquainted with Aquilla C. Doyle the applicant for Pension- and was well acquainted with his wife Fannie Doyle. That she died the 22nd of September 1872.
That he knows this by being present at the time of death and her funeral. His Post Office address is Flemingsburg, Fleming County, Ky. He further declares that he has no interest in said case and is not concerned in its prosecution.

Personally came before me, a notary Public in and for aforesaid County and State, Jesse Carpenter, aged 44 years, citizen of the Town of Carmel, County of Fleming, State of Kentucky, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declare in relation to aforesaid case, as follows:
That he is well acquainted with said applicant and was comrade in same Co. and Regt. with his son James Doyle of Co A 10 Ky Cav, he was present with the Co & Regt at or near Covington Ky on or about the last of September 1862 when the said son was shot by the rebels while in a skirmish with the enemy and he was ordered to the hospital by his Capt at the time and place above mentioned & the report came to Co & regt that the said James Doyle died from the gun shot wound
Affiant further declares that he has no interest in said case, and is not concerned

In the matter of Claim for Pension No 373843 of Aquilla C. Doyle father of James Doyle Co A. 10th Ky Vol Cav Personally came before me, a Justice of the Peace in an for aforesaid County and State Alfred Tribbey aged 77 years citizen of the Town of Plummers Landing County of Fleming State of Kentucky well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn, declare in relation to aforesaid case, as follows:
I an well acquainted with the claimant have know him for 40 years lived near
neighbor to him in the year 1863 he had in his posession at that time a small steam
grist mill, an unpaid for, the income from which was his entire income and could not
have exceeded $150 to $160 per year he also had -?- of cattle he had no real estate. I
cut his steam wood mostly for him and helped work at the mill Therefore I am able to
make above statement James the son claimed was never married. This claimant is sadly
crippled in right elbow joint and has been ever since I knew him. He is not nor never
has been able to work for a maintance his son claimed for remaining with his father
and worked for him till he entered the U.S. Service. He further declares that he
has no intrest in said case and is not concerned in its prosecution.

State of Kentucky, County of Fleming:
I, A.H. Evans, Clerk of the Fleming County Court, do hereby certify that Aquilla C. Doyle this day produced a bible which from its age and apperance appears to be the old family bible which contains the records of the births and deaths of his family. That on page 3 at the top of page is the following " James Doyle was born August 17 1844 This appears to have been written many years ago. Given under my hand and seal fo office this the 11th of February 1889, and I certify that I have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
