FLEMINGSBURG | Opal Morris, 93, of James Road, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home surrounded by her special friends and family.
She was born May 19, 1918, in Carter County to the late Howard and Laura Hamm Blanton.
She had been a clerk at a variety store in Germantown, Ohio for many years. She was a member of Wallingford United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of George C. Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed (Dexter) Morris, Lavern Lovejoy, Withrow (Virginia) Morris and Bonnie Harp; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and caregivers.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Manning and Rev. Bob Ray officiating.
Burial will follow in Hurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eulas Fannin, Mike Gooding, Mark Wagner, Mike Wagner, Tommy McDonald, and Steve Strunk.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fleming County Senior Adult Day Care Center or the Wallingford United Methodist Church.
