Forest Glen Hamilton, 89, of Middletown, passed away Monday, Feb. 9,2015 in his residence following a brief illness.
He was born April 3,1925 in Fleming Co., KY and was the son of the late Isaac Edward and Laura Jane (Pitts) Hamilton.
Glen had retired from the Chrysler Plant in New Castle in 1974 after 31 years of service.
He is survived by four children: Forest (wife Janet) Hamilton, Sharon (husband Steve) Bowers of Middletown, Randy (wife Teresa) Hamilton of Mooreland and Glynna Hamilton of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Clayton (wife Brooksie) Hamilton of New Castle; two sisters, Myrtle Logan of Rushville and Lona Mae Porter of TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah B. (Rivers) Hamilton in 1987; a son, Duane Young; a great-grandson, Kahlil H. Horne; several brothers and sisters.
Private funeral services will be held Friday at Hacker-Main & Davis Funeral Home, Blue River Chapel. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family in Miller Cemetery near Middletown.
