WITHROW, Evelyn Hamm Born August 26, 1910, died August 10, 2007 at Crestview Manor in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hamm. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Nancy (Catron) Hamm; brothers, Teddy Hamm, Harlan 'T' Hamm, and Willie Irvin Hamm; sister, Sylvia Hamm Lewis; also sons, Delmar and Hubert.
Evelyn was a mother to M.L. (Shirley) of Kettering, OH, Ronald (Faye) of Beavercreek, OH, Marjorie (Bill) Madewell of Huber Heights, OH; sister to Lena Hamm Boyd and Roy Boyd of Morehead, KY and Frieda Hamm Ruggeri and Raphael (Jerri) Ruggeri of Desert Hot Springs, CA; grandmother to 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Evelyn is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was a teacher in the Rowan County School System, teaching in a one room school house and retired from Moraine Products. She had been a member of Eastern Star in Beavercreek, OH.
She was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle in Clearfield, KY. She loved Family Reunions, photography, yellow roses, Jesse Stuart, Johnny Cash and most of all, her family.
Evelyn will continue educating students at Wright State University, where she has donated her body to medical science. She will be lovingly missed.
Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2007 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
